The airline awarded Menzies Aviation a three-year contract for ground handling and cabin cleaning services.
Passenger volume at Frankfurt Airport was down 4.9 percent year-on-year.
Plans call for a dramatic remodeling, resulting in the addition of 32 new airline gates capable of accommodating newer, wide-bodied jetliners.
Neal A. Moran will be responsible for all the cargo operations in the Americas region — comprising 21 warehouses at 10 airports across the USA and Canada.
At smaller airports, TSA screeners who screen checked baggage also check air cargo shipments.
Swissport is active at the airport with its own cargo organization, and will expand the activities to passenger handling.
